【Abstract】Objective: To explore the effects of hypothyroidism onbrain development of rats’ movement and learning and memory functions. Methods:Male hypothyroidism model rats were selected and were given intraperitonealinjection of daily T42ug.100g-1until weaning; they were the treatment group, those who receive no specialhandling were hypothyroidism group and the normal control group was also setup, with 12 rats in each group. Behavior test and serum detection were given tothe young rats at the age of 50 days. Results: The suspension time of the ratsin hypothyroidism group was significantly shorter and the swivel wassignificantly prolonged than those of the other two groups, the difference withthat of the treatment group and normal control group was statisticallysignificant. The young rat mistakes of the hypothyroidism group significantlyincreased and memory incubation period after 24 h shortened significantly, thedifference with that of the treatment group and normal control group wasstatistically significant. Conclusion: Hypothyroidism during the braindevelopment would decrease the rats’ ability of movement and ability oflearning and memory.
