【Abstract】Objective: To comparethe effect and safety of traditional open surgery and minimally invasivelaparoscopic surgery in treating uterine fibroids. Methods: 108 patients withuterine fibroids were selected and randomLy divided into the control group andthe observation group, with 54 cases in each group. The control group was giventraditional open surgery while the observation group received minimallyinvasive laparoscopic surgery. Operation curative effect observation indexes oftwo groups of patients were compared to comprehensively evaluate the safety oftwo methods. Results: There was no significant difference in the number ofexcluded fibroids, the maximum size of the excluded myoma, the residual rate ofmyoma and the recurrence rate of myoma of two groups (P＞0.05), but the satisfactionof the observation group was significantly better than that of the controlgroup (P＜0.05); the operation timeof the observation group was longer than that of the control group, but thedifference was not significance (P＞0.05);the operative blood loss, exhaust time, postoperative hospital stay andcomplication rate of the observation group was significantly shorter than thatof the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Traditional open surgery and minimallyinvasive laparoscopic surgery had similar effect in treating uterine fibroids, compared with traditional open surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgerytook longer time, but it had the advantages of being minimal invasive, rapidpostoperative recovery, less complications and high curative effectsatisfaction rate.
